Partners in Employment Official Opening
When the Saskatchewan Abilities Council opened its employment office in 2003, it wanted to showcase its new services and symbolize the community linkages necessary to facilitate employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
At a media event/open house, then CEO of Casino Regina Joe van Koeverden spoke to the value of hiring people with disabilities. Following the presentation by an employer, Brent Olmstead charmed the crowd with humour and candor as he discussed his Acquired Brain Injury and related the important impact his employment with the Regina Police Service has on his life.
The event closed with a ceremonial linking of a chain.
